Erol Gungor is one of the important persons in Turkish Sociology. It is well known that, in spite of having a short life time, he had a great influence on sociologists after his time. He reconsidered argu-mentive concepts in the Turkish sociology which began with Ziya Gokalp, and eliminated confusions and difficulties over thetehe concepts and made them much more clear and distinct.
