Editorial Note

I am pleased to declare that African Journal of Gender and Women Studies is a peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary open access journal that is concern with the study of gender and its intersection with identity, including race, social inequality, sexuality, class, location, disability, ethnicity and nationality. The ISSN of the Journal is 2736-1578. The Journals tend to prosper and publish the most complete Source of discovery and accurate details on the findings and in all areas of the field, recent advances in the mode of original papers, analysis, articles, case reports, short communications, etc. make them freely accessible online without any limitations or any other subscriptions to researchers worldwide.

All published articles of this journal are included in the indexing and abstracting coverage of: SHERPA/RoMEO, Index copernicus, CiteFactor, Academic Resource Index, Google Scholar, Scientific Indexing Services, AcademicKeys, Open J-Gate, Rootindexing, Eurasian Scientific Journal Index, Open Academic Journals Index, Scholarsteer, Cosmos, International Institute of Organized Research and all published articles are permanently archived. All published articles are assigned to Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

The journal welcomes papers that explore the intersectionality of gender and women studies within the framework of such fields like literature, language, geography, history, political science, sociology, anthropology, cinema, media studies, human development, law, and medicine.

Authors can submit manuscripts and monitor their progress, hopefully for publication, through the online tracking system. As any report to be published publicly cumulatively covers 45 days from the date of receive. The time period for different processes including quality control, peer review, and paper preparation is taken from 4 to 5 weeks. Performance reviews and peer review processes are completed within 14 days, and the deadline for submission is just 7 days after the reviewers and editors have accepted.

AJGWS is going to release Volume 6 and Issue 2. In month of April, 2021 JCTT released. Peer-review is the system used by African Journal of Gender and Women Studies to assess the quality of a manuscript before it is published. Qualified researchers in the relevant research area assess submitted manuscripts for originality, validity and significance to help editors determine whether the manuscript should be published or not.

All articles published by this journal are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers. Also, authors of articles published in this journal are the copyright holders of their articles and have granted to any third party, in advance and in perpetuity, the right to use, reproduce or disseminate articles.
