Description

The International Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences (ISSN 2167-0404) is open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-profile papers on novel aspects and methods in all fields of medicine and medical sciences. The journal’s goal is to provide a venue for the dissemination of cutting-edge research in all areas of medicine and medical sciences. The journal is published on a monthly basis and covers all aspects of the field. All manuscripts are exposed to a thorough peer review. All articles published in this journal are immediately and indefinitely available online, with no subscription fees or registration requirements. The Creative Commons Attribution License applies to all works published by this journal (CC- BY). The copyright holders of articles published in this journal are the authors, who have granted any third party the right to use, reproduce, and disseminate their articles in advance and in perpetuity.

The International Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences use a peer-review system to evaluate the quality of a manuscript before it is published. Qualified researchers in the relevant research area evaluate submitted manuscripts for originality, validity, and significance to assist editors in deciding whether or not to publish the manuscript. The reviewers of the paper will not know the identity of the author(s), and the author(s) will not know the identity of the reviewer. Mainly it uses a double-blind peer-review system. The benefit of double-blind peer review is that it removes any potential for bias. Manuscripts submitted to this journal are usually reviewed by two or more experts who must determine whether the manuscript is scientifically sound and coherent, whether it duplicates previously published work, and whether it is clear enough for publication. Based on these reports, the Editors will make a decision and, if necessary, consult with members of the Editorial Board. When we receive an article for publication, the journal’s editorial office double- checks the files to make sure everything is in order. After that, the manuscript is assigned to three or more reviewers based on their expertise in the field. Our editor decides whether to accept, reject, or subject the article to further revisions based on the reviewers’ reports. The article will be subjected to a final review by the journal’s editorial office once the manuscript has been accepted. The author would then be notified that their article had been accepted. The corresponding authors are sent galley proofs, which they must read and correct for any typographical or grammatical errors. An invoice is sent to the corresponding author once proofs have been returned to the editorial office. The manuscript is typically included in the next issue of the journal after we receive payment for the article. A publication notification is sent to the corresponding author with links to the issue and article once the article has been published on the journal’s website.

The integrity of published works and public trust in the peer-review process is dependent in part on how well conflict of interest is handled during writing, peer review, and editorial decision-making. When an author (or the author’s institution), reviewer, or editor has financial or personal relationships that influence his or her actions, there is a conflict of interest. Authors must disclose any financial or relevant interests that may have influenced the development of the manuscript at ISJ. Reviewers are encouraged to disclose any potential conflicts of interest and, if necessary, decline to review any manuscripts with which they believe they have a conflict. Manuscripts that fall into this category may be reassigned to other editors. Others can make informed decisions about the work and the review process if all potential conflicts are clearly stated, whether or not they actually had an influence.
