Creatinine and Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN) levels are crucial indicators used to assess kidney health. Elevated levels of creatinine and BUN often signal impaired kidney function, urging the need for understanding, monitoring, and managing these markers in individuals with kidney disease.
Creatinine is a waste product generated by muscle metabolism and is primarily eliminated by the kidneys.
