    Social and cultural roots of health and disease from the perspective of medical sociology

    Objective: This article provides a model for research and practice to address the socio-cultural concerns of patients in the field of health care. Society is a kind of bedrock of disease and health; hence the view of disease and health varies from one society to another. Design and method: Sociological literature review was used.
